The benefits of planting trees are overwhelming, from their ability to raise an areas property value, attract businesses, shoppers and homeowners. Tree shade, when used effectively, can also save an average of $250 annually in household electricity costs. Forests and tree planting are also integral to lowering the flooding rate of Virginia Beach and the greater Hampton Roads Area by stopping the continuous erosion of soil.
This may be one of your biggest investments to help our environment. Will you help secure not just our environment, but our future? Will you take the pledge?
