Planting Shade Israel, hopes to further our organization's goal of improving the environment. Israel, well known for its dry soil and difficult growing conditions is in need of environmental lobbying and education. Planting Shade Israel hopes to use a student-oriented approach to solving such issues, while still continuing to plant trees.

Benny Slakman, Chapter Co-founder and President

Benny is a Junior at the Jerusalem Art School or תיכון אמנות ירושלים. He has a deep seated interest in many forms of art such as drawing, film, and music. He greatly values nature and it’s health in correspondence to the overall state of the world. Planting Shade has provided him with an opportunity to connect with his values and positively impact his community.
